#PassTheMic started as a campaign to in 2020 to get influential figures to pass the mic to those on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

In late 2020 we asked environmentalist and natural history presenter Sir David Attenborough to pass the mic to frontline activists. This was after announcing the closure of his Instagram page of 6.2 million followers. Climate activists from all around the world subsequently launched an online campaign and petition asking for Sir David to #PassTheMic.

We now want to continue this momentum by calling on other people of influence, brands and organisations to pass the mic to frontline activists. We hope you will join us too.

Pass The Mic wants to amplify the voices of those on the frontlines of the climate crisis and climate campaigning. We believe that part of our climate justice advocacy is through amplifying marginalised voices and asking those with influence to redistribute their power.

If you are a brand, organisation or influential figure that wants to help amplify our cause and lend your platform to us, please get in touch.

We are also looking for collaborators and supporters who are interested in supporting us financially. We believe that the labour of activists and importantly those on the frontlines deserve to be compensated. Within our means we always try to pay activists who contribute to our social media channels. If you want to donate, you can do so here.

If you have any other ideas about ways to work with us, then drop us an email.
